My mission is to guide my clients in uniting and liberating the mind, body and soul through yoga. Every class holds a transformative experience for you, either a restorative release or an intense challenge that always finishes in savasana (deep relaxation and guided meditation). I offer you the opportunity to ignite your yoga practice and uncover your true self that can free your mind, body and soul. I work with individuals and small groups, in business or home, using various yoga approaches tailored to the clients needs.
I tailor the yoga instruction to the client's needs with more or less emphasis on savasana. Prices can start as low as $40 a session but vary according to number of clients, length of session, time of day, at business or home or in my office and sliding scale. One form of meditation which has evolved more recently is that of “guided meditations”. In these meditations, one is guided by voice through a meditative experience.
There are many different approaches to guided meditation, and they all have different purposes. Some have a very specific purpose, such as healing or self-improvement with goals such as creating prosperity, improving relationships, developing forgiveness or any number of other goals. Other guided meditations are more general, directed at quieting the mind making space for calmness and relaxation. These meditations are amazing for reducing and managing stress. Some meditations are designed to evoke “higher states of consciousness” or to enliven various aspects of the human energy field (chakra meditations).
In my guided meditations, I use imagery, either describing very specific images which produce certain experiences, or inviting the listener to allow their own images to appear. I start with a body-focused relaxation, connecting to the breath allowing the mind to disconnect from the body. The client can then go inward exploring the vastness of our internal world. It is said that all of our answers lie there. After which a stronger reconnection with the body can take place as well as a more present self.
Meditation can be a valuable tool for creating health and well-being, as well as personal and spiritual (secular or non-secular)growth. I will adapt to the client's needs. My goal is for my clients to learn tools and practices they can use on their own. However, I have seen that for many, meditating with a guide allows for an effortlessness that may be difficult to achieve on one’s own, especially initially. Even those with a regular meditation practice can benefit from the many types of guided meditation.
